Charleston's fall weather is finally settling in and your hair is probably a little messier and longer than it was this time last year, which is fine, there’s a lot going on right now. Both of these are excellent reasons to check out the watch caps we have in from Knickerbocker MFG if you haven't already.
We look forward to bringing these in every fall, and when you hold one in hand you’ll understand why. The cotton used for these is thick, substantial but soft and welcoming, the colors have a wonderful depth to them that really comes across when handled, and the fit has a classic, clean-cut look to it which really stands out against the slouchy and loose fit of nearly every other beanie. In fact, these are modeled after and knit on some of the same machines used during WWII. We wrote a little more about that here.
This weekend I pulled mine out of storage, gave it a quick and light hand washing in Otterwax’s Canvas Cleaner (another Castile soap or light detergent would be fine as well), rinsed in cold water and left to air dry and now I’m ready for whatever chilly night or messy morning hair the colder months have in store for me.
